RealNetworks to distribute Google and Mozilla software

Don't use the annoying real player. Instead, use Real Alternative which plays all real media.

Macworld UK - RealNetworks to distribute Google and Mozilla software
Developers of three popular software applications - RealPlayer, Firefox, and Google's Toolbar - have reached a multi-year agreement to distribute certain applications to users.

When users download RealNetworks' RealPlayer media software, they will be given the option to also install Firefox and the Google Toolbar, the companies said today.

Working together will help the firms compete with Microsoft. The deal should also help expand their audience of users, because RealNetworks distributes more than 2 million pieces of software a day globally, according to the company.

Google's Toolbar and Mozilla's Firefox will soon be available for users of RealPlayer, Rhapsody music service and RealArcade games, the companies said.

Google and RealNetworks have distributed software for each other for the past two years, so the deal expands their work together, they said.
